He graduated with the Class of 1856, at Wittenberg College in Springfield, Ohio, spent another year there before becoming ordained by the Wittenberg synod, area around Bucyrus, his home territory) of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in the U.S, commonly called General Synod. His father was listed as "General S. MYERS" but nothing about who his mother was. His Spouse 1: Elizabeth LEFFEL married 1857 Dec 22 at Springfield, Clark Co., OH. She died in Portland or Salem, OR. on 27 Nov 1874 age 40. His Spouse 2: Mrs. Susan Eustis Bigelow BITTLE, 1874 Nov (San Francisco??) CA. His second wife was the widow of Lutheran pastor Daniel H. In addition to Harrison, Isaiah JONES had a daughter, Ann Louise JONES BUTLER. Rev. Harrison JONES may have married Laurette PARDEE and he may have been chaplain of the Forty-second Regiment during the Civil War.

I am descended from Jakob and Caroline (MYERS) JEUTTER through their son Frederick Simon YEITER. Jakob was born April 20, 1827 in Germany, died Feb 24, 1906 in Alto, Kent County, buried in Merriman Cemetery in Lowell. Caroline was born April 16, 1833 in Stark County, Ohio, died May 17, 1908 in Alto, buried at Merriman. They were married March 13, 1853 in Crawford County, Ohio and moved to Lowell Twp., Kent County shortly after. I have the YEITER (also spelled JEUTTER) family fairly well documented. However, I am now actively researching the MYERS and COONS family lines of Caroline. All I know about her parents are that they were both born in Michigan, lived for some time in Stark County, Ohio before moving to Crawford County prior to 1853. Any help on Caroline's siblings and the history of the MYERS and COONS families would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help! Tom Wilson Boca Raton, FL
