I'm researching Alvin George (or George Alvin or A. G.) SHEARER born 3-10-1877 in Burton City, Baughman Twp., Wayne Co., Ohio but moved to Crestline around the early 1900's. He married Mary (unknown maiden name) and they had Gladys, approx. 1906, and Clarence, approx. 1911. They divorced, unknown date. He worked for the PA RR for a short while but quit after being injured. He ran the SHEARER Bros. Motorized Big Tent Theatre. His parents were William E. SHEARER and Mary Ellen GETZ. Are any of you connected with any of these lines? Has anyone heard of the above named SHEARER Bros. Motorized Big Tent Theatre? Where would I look to check out businesses in Crestline around the turn of the 20th Century? Thank-you, Yvonne Yvonne Delamater normdel@concentric.net

Subject: FLOWERS Farm--DAVIES Family I'm looking for information on a family named DAVIES that worked on or occupied a portion of the Bert FLOWERS Farm in Bucyrus or Gallion. The time was the 1920's. They were William DAVIES and Margaret HUFFMAN DAVIES. Their son Earnest was a resident there for a short time and in 1924. This family suffered the tragic death of their son, Earnest when crushed by a train in his sleep. He and a young friend named Joseph SAUER, age 17 set out west, got homesick , ran out of money and coming back thru Indiana from Oklahoma, stopped for the night to sleep next to the railroad tracks. I would like to get in touch with any of the above decendants. This happened in July of 1924. If anyone is researching HUFFMAN or MIZER, I have lots of information. Jonathan HUFFMAN from Pa. to Carroll Co to Indiana. Also have some information on the COTTERS from Ireland and Ohio. Thank you, Judy
