Looking for Eliza.Elida NORMAN. She was born 8 Feb 1833 (per census records 1860) in Ohio (don't know county) have checked 1850 records of Ohio for her with father and have'nt found her. She was living in Crawford Co, OH in 1850 with the family of Solomon BILLINGS with her sister Rebecca Ann NORMAN. Need to know her father's name and also her mother.There was a William NORMAN in Lake Co, OH with a daughter named Eliza in 1850 but she couldn't be two places at once could she? Help!! Carole

John & Rebecca (DAVIS) SMITH are buried in the SMITH-EULIS cemetery near New Washington, Crawford Co., OH. Rebecca & John appeared in the 1840 census in Chatfield Twp., Crawford Co., OH. Rebecca (widow) was in the Oct. 1850 census, same location. Children: James 1811-1874; Elizabeth (1813-1881) married Morgan CUMMINS; John 1815; Silas (1817-1883); Wm. (1819-1874); Mary Ann (1821-1890) married Philip EULIS; Julia(1824-1892) married Christopher HANES; Anthony (1831-1909). Need parents of Rebecca & John. Desire correspondence with any descendants of this family.

I am looking for information on Jacob PLETCHER Sr. and his son Jacob PLETCHER Jr. Jacob Sr. was the youngest child of Samuel PLETCHER and Elizabeth YORDY PLETCHER who came to Crawford County in 1830. Jacob Sr. was born in 1790 in Pennsylvania and died in 1870. He married Barbara NEISWANDER (1797-1870). I am not sure at what point they came to Crawford County (if at all), but as most of the rest of Samuel PLETCHER's family moved with him, I assume that Jacob Sr. did also. Jacob PLETCHER Jr. was born in June 1823 and died in 1863. He married Cyrena DORMYER in 1845. She was born 15 April 1828 in Crawford County and died in 1898. Their second child Barbara PLETCHER was born in Ohio in 1853. Sometime between 1853 and 1862 they moved to Elkhart County Indiana. My information on children of Jacob Jr. is fairly complete as is my information on Samuel PLETCHER and his brother, Henry. It is primarily the two generations of Jacob Sr. and Jacob Jr. that is fairly sketchy. I appreciate any help that anyone can give me.

I am looking for information on the SHEARER family in Crawford county especially in Bucyrus. John (or J) SHEARER was born in Bucyrus around 1900-1902 and is currently living in Grand Rapids Mi. His father was supposedly a rich bank president in Bucyrus who lived into his hundreds and died in 1976 or 77. Upon his death he gave his fortune to the Salvation Army. If any one has any information that may help me I would appreciate it. Thank you.
