I'm searching for information on my gggrandfather, William GREEN. He died in Crawford County 21 April 1862. His estate was probated in Auburn Township during April and May of 1862. He was married to Martha STANTON GREEN. Could someone please tell me where I might find his death certificate or a census during that period, to obtain information about his parents. Looking for information about my 2x great-grandfather's sister, Hettie A. (SHULTZ) DEMUTH, of Crestline, Ohio. Husband's name was Frank or William F. DEMUTH. Hettie died on 11 Sept. 1922 in Crawford Co. Frank died 9 March 1916. She was incorrectly listed in her brother's obituary as Mrs. Hettie DENNITH, but in another brother's obituary, listed as Mrs. Frank DEMUTH. I am also trying to locate Hettie's parents. Benjamin NICKLER died in 1865, his wife Nancy NICHOLSON died in Tiro on 21 February, 1894. Nancy NICHOLSON born in Somerset County, Pa about 1814. I would like to know who her parents were. Sarah, his wife, did not appear in the index, and the only Sarahs were in their 20s. Sons Norval W. and Daniel also appear in Crawford Co. in Crestline at 1186 on 477 and 478. They moved to Franklin Co. as did the SHAWLEYs, Rebecca's parents. Anna Elizabeth SHAWLEY married William A. TROXEL in Crawford Co. Nov 29, 1856. Would like to know where they went. I know they had a son who was an artist and had pictures in the Columbus Museum of Art in the 1930s.
