My first FRALICK is Jacob FROELICH/FRALICK Sr.born 1803. He married Elizabeth SCHUPP, they had Susanna born 1828 and Leah born 31 May1836. There is mention of Henry FRALICK; " can be found in the Wirth Church records. Henry FRALICK migrated to Crawford County, Ohio from Dauphin County, Pennsylvania in 1826." Susanna FRALICK married Andreas SCHUPP. (Elizabeth SCHUPP is the aunt of Andreas SHOOP husband of her daughter Susan FRALICK). Leah FRALICK married William LINN on 3 Dec 1855. William LINN born 17 July 1835 Holmes, Crawford County, died 17 Aug 1924. This couple had many children and are mentioned in several books published by the Crawford County Genealogical Society and the LINN family. LINN married LEIMENSTOLL, LEIMENSTOLL married GEISSMAN. I'd like to know Jacobs parents, & the four children of Susan and Andreas SCHUPP? I have Martha Jane SCHUPP born December 25 1853. Shela from California

CAMP, MATHIAS posted by Ed Moses on Friday, October 1, 1999

I am a local Galion resident. I bought a house about three years ago that I've been restoring, and had a few questions concerning past occupancy. My home was built in July of 1872, and was originally resided by Hiram CAMP. Hiram CAMP worked as the Agent for the Belfountain -Indianapollis Railroad. He lived Marion before he resided in Galion. He sold the first ticket for this Railroad in Marion using an old boxcar as an office. Anyway, he lived in my home until around 1878. HSZ MATHIAS lived in my house after that. He was one of the owners and editors of the Galion Enquirer. At that time he also served as the County Recorder in Crawford County. He left in 1900. I'm trying to see if I can locate old pictures of my home during the period that the past two men had lived in my home. It would also be nice to locate pictures of Mr.CAMP or more of Mr MATHIAS (who is in the Crawford County History Book). Can you point me in the right direction. Thanks! Ed Moses

PENDRY, WHITNEY posted by David Pendry on Friday, October 1, 1999

Looking for Robert PENDRY born 1787 place unknown. Has anyone been able to trace Robert PENDRY back from OH to Europe or Great Britian? My PENDRY line came from Monmouthshire, Wales around 1850 via PA. thru OH to IL. John and Hannah WHITNEY/PENDRY came thru OH and had a son James born Aug. 1850 somewhere in OH. They moved on to IL and stayed there. I have been unable to connect any OH PENDRY's with my line but who knows. Most likely there is no connection in these PENDRY's but one never knows. There are a lot of PENDRY's in the NC. area and they go back into the 1700's but I have never been able to connect them back to Europe or Great Britian. If anyone can connect with these PENDRYs, please get back to me on this. Thanks. Dave P.

KURTZ, SENTNER, ZENTNER posted by Candy-Lea Chickite on Thursday, October 21, 1999

Hello. Looking for anyone researching the family of Gottlieb/Gottfried KURTZ and wife Eve/Catherine SENTNER (or ZENTNER?). They were in the 1850 Census in Liberty Township in Crawford Co with children: Marian, Caroline, Christian, William, Rebecca (only child born in Ohio). In 1860 Census only children William and Rebecca were at home. Gottfried and wife were born in Germany, Wurttemberg or Bavaria as the different sources point out. I assume they came to the US about 1848/49 according to Rebecca's birth date. Another son who was not listed was John Frederick KURTZ, who ended up in California. He apparently ran away from home at an early age, and contact with family was lost. I have some information on Christian and sister Rebecca but all others have eluded me so far. Any cousins out there to partner with?? Candy-Lea . This is an automatically-generated notice.
